Rating panorama on Era channel

In October 2006 a specialized project Rating Panorama has been launched on Ukrainian ERA TV-channel, being supported by Credit-Rating. The agency's experts, heads of Ukrainian companies and banks, analysts of investment funds, independent experts and specialists in different Ukrainian economy branches take part in the project. There's been discussed the following issues: utilization of credit ratings in Ukrainian financial market, namely structure and meaning of ratings, their criteria and role in financial market development, forms and application ways accepted worldwide, advantages in creating a continuous rating history, ways of national and international ratings application.

Project goals:

• Forming the culture of ratings in Ukrainian financial market.
• Informing the public on current ratings assigned to Ukrainian companies, banks, municipalities and to their debt obligations.
• Expert assessement and forecasting the development of Ukrainian economy branches.

Topics

• Credit ratings and their role in informing the public about investment risks.
• Application of ratings by Ukrainian banks. Experts: Konstantin Palivoda, Chairman of Arkada Bank and Viktor Fuklev, Deputy Chairman of Khreschatyk Bank.
• Possibility of defaults for issuers with low credit ratings. Experts: Grigoriy Gurtovoy, the managing director of Renaissance Capital and Larisa Primenko, analyst in chief of Arta investment company. 
• Credit-Rating agency's adoption of the Code of Conduct, based on IOSCO guidelines.
• Telecast cycle on housing bonds. Experts: heads of TF-Invest LLC, Ukrsotsbud LLC, Comfort-Invest LLC Investment Company, Perspektiva Investment LLC, Postulat LLC, Makrokap Development Ukraine LLC, which are the agency's clients bearing credit ratings by the agency.

Rating panorama is broadcast on Era TV-channel on Saturdays at 23.55, repeated on Mondays at 8.25
